A walk in the woods

So, every year, after we have stuffed ourselves silly with turkey and all the fixings, we head out for a walk. We've walked through snow and rain and really cold weather, so it was nice to have the weather cooperate.

Happy Thanksgiving
|

The holidays are all about the food. Yum!
I had a good thanksgiving, visiting with family. We did our usual post-gorging walk in the woods, which was very nice, and I will post some pics of that little excursion later. It was very nice to have the day off from work, something that I am not quite used to. We had a fairly relaxing day: dinner, walking, dessert, and Shrek 2.

The Basin
|

|
Spent this weekend in NH, where, strangely enough, there was less snow that at home. Saturday we headed to Franconia Notch and took a short walk through the woods around "The Basin". It was a good day, windy and cold, but sunny and very pretty. There weren't too many people around, and once we got out of the immediate area of the Basin, we could crawl around on the rocks and stuff, which is always fun. I like it when they let you go right up to the nature and take its picture.
